Whether it’s patisserie, food and drink, travel, wine or skiing, as a creative translator, my world revolves around these industries, in the office and out.
Hi, I’m Stephanie.
I’m a Spanish and French to English creative translator based in Bath in the UK, spending my days helping my clients communicate their value to an English-speaking audience.
Languages were one of the first things I ever fell for. With half of my family in Spain, it was perhaps inevitable that languages would be a big part of my life.
Having completed my studies, I found myself working as a linguist for a medical repatriation company, and then for the Civil Service for several years.
But after a while it became clear to me that what I really wanted to do was combine my other passions with my language skills. So I ventured off-piste and have been working as a freelance translator since 2017.
From recipes to winery websites to sales copy for a new set of skis, I’m a creative translator specialising in the things I love and have in-depth knowledge of, giving my clients an edge.

- MA in Interpreting at the University of Bath (2008-2009)
- BA in European Studies (French, Spanish, International Relations and Politics) at Royal Holloway University of London (2004-2008)

Outside the office
When not working on my creative translations, you’ll find me baking patisserie, cakes or bread at least once a week, and more if I can. Trying out new skills and techniques, waiting for the day the Great British Bake Off calls my name.
I go to regular yoga and circuits classes, and if I can I’ll spend time in the mountains enjoying the fresh powder.
A non-negotiable part of my day are my walks or runs with my spaniel, Luna, sometimes accompanied by the Guide Dog puppies we board for anything from a few days to a few weeks.
